22 years ago when my husband and I got married roses were intended to give me a feeling of calm. Our wedding colors were ivory and yellow. My husband was one hour late for our wedding ceremony. I knew in my mind that he was going to show up and not stand me up at the altar; but as a bride I was nervous just because of the occasion itself. To top things off, while we were waiting for my husband to arrive to the church, one of his sisters’ who was one of the bride’s maids in the wedding commented; “I heard that he has been pacing back and forth in his apartment all day.” My mother told me that when that comment was made; my mother saw some of the hair on my head stand straight up. Honestly the hair standing straight up on my head had nothing to do with me being worried about my husband not showing up; I had faith in him because of the relationship we had developed while we dated. At that time I was just a nervous bride and hearing that comment did not makes things better and I just did not have the energy at that time to respond to it.
After we were married; my husband apologized for being late and said the reason he was late was because he had some last minute running around to do which included ordering roses. I asked him why did he order roses and he responded by saying; “didn’t you get my Roses?”…and I said no what roses? My husband went onto to say; “I ordered a dozen of yellow roses 
on the day of our wedding that should have been sent to you earlier that afternoon with a card saying that I love you and I can’t wait to make you my wife today. “ I thought to myself WOW WHAT A MAN! When he told me that I melted; and my heart skipped a beat as if I had just met him for the first time and fell in with all over again. Many of you reading this know that if I had I received those dozen of yellow roses I would have been less nervous about his late arrival. The dozen of yellow roses would have given me that extra boost of support I needed as a bride. Notice the powerful effect that the dozen of yellow roses had… and the most sweet thing about it; he ordered them in one of our wedding colors; yellow. Even though I never received the yellow roses dozen; it was the thought that made me a happy day after the wedding bride. The day after the wedding we went to the florist to see why I had not received the roses and we found out that they were delivered to the wrong address. The florist said the house we attempted to deliver the roses was wrong. When we reviewed the order slip one of the numbers to the street address was missing. The florist delivered to the wrong address and did not bother to call my husband to get the right one.
They refunded my husband’s money back and apologized. (Too late for that I thought to myself)…and that brings us into the next area.

The flower company should have 24/7 online ordering access and a toll free customer service number that you can call if there are questions you have that you want to speak to a live person about or you have a special order that you would like to create. Sometimes speaking to a live person is better than playing the guessing game and it can make your life much simpler.

This way you will never forget an anniversay, birthday, graduation or any special event for that matter.
